Cultural City Uijeongbu Successfully Concludes '2024 Cultural City Sharing Week'

Mayor Kim Dong-geun: "Citizens Are the Main Actors of the Cultural City Uijeongbu"

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) successfully concluded the 2024 Cultural City Sharing Week 'Living Together with the Cultural City' on the 30th, as part of the Cultural City Development Project.

The '2024 Cultural City Sharing Week' is a project to share the achievements of the second year of the statutory cultural city project through sharing sessions, exhibitions, and other formats. It consisted of △achievement sharing sessions △cultural city network party △special lectures by notable figures △public forums △planned exhibitions.

On the first day, the 28th, a public forum titled 'Future Policy Directions for Sustainable Cultural Cities' was held in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Economics Association. Additionally, the 'Cultural City Uijeongbu Archive Exhibition,' which documented the achievements of the 2024 Cultural City Development Project, and the invited exhibition 'Slow City' by German pop artist Jim Avignon were displayed.

On the second day, the 29th, the achievement sharing session for the cultural sharing space support project 'Sai Space' was held, and film director Jang Hang-jun engaged in a special lecture titled 'Sea of Thought' with citizens.

On the third day, the 30th, the cultural city network party 'Sharing through Insudagram,' where participating citizens and local artists in the cultural city development project shared and communicated, was held. Veterinarian and animal trainer Seol Chae-hyun was invited for the special lecture.
