A Man in His 50s Missing After Traffic Accident... Found in Hillside Three Days into Search

The driver who disappeared from the vehicle involved in a traffic accident was found after three days of searching for the missing person.


According to the Busan Gijang Police Station on the 30th, at around 3:32 a.m. on the 27th, a passenger car driven by a man in his 50s, Mr. A, collided with the central divider about 4 km before the Jangan Rest Area on the Busan-Ulsan Expressway heading toward Ulsan, and Mr. A went missing.


At around 6:19 a.m. that day, Mr. A’s wife reported him missing to the police, saying that her husband had not returned home and was unreachable.


The police deployed detectives and a mobile unit from the morning to search the scene, and a drone team was also dispatched to conduct search operations in the nearby mountain area.


On the third day of the search, at around 2:40 p.m. on the 29th, detectives from the Gijang Police Station and officers from the Busan Police Agency’s mobile unit found Mr. A exhausted and collapsed on a forested hillside in the mountain area.


Mr. A was transported to the hospital and is currently reported to be in stable condition. The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
