Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) held its 27th anniversary ceremony on the 29th at the main auditorium of its headquarters, with President Kim Se-yong, executives and employees, officials from Gyeonggi Province and related organizations, and local residents in attendance, ahead of the first founding day (December 1) after relocating to the Gwanggyo office.
Through an opening ceremony introducing major successful projects that served as stepping stones for GH’s development, such as Gwanggyo New Town, Pangyo Techno Valley, and Dasan New Town, GH shared its 27-year journey of growth and innovation and pledged to become a “century-old company” that creates a “Gyeonggi Province where people are happy and live well.”
At the ceremony, the performance by the ‘Beusol Orchestra,’ a union of people with developmental disabilities and non-disabled individuals, attracted attention, with about 50 local residents attending, including those from the Gwanggyo Daycare Center for the Disabled and the Gwanggyo Senior Welfare Center.

Since relocating to Gwanggyo in July, GH has contributed to communication and revitalization of the local community by creating a book lounge rest area as a complex cultural space for residents in the lobby of its office and opening it to the public.
In his commemorative speech, GH President Kim Se-yong said, "Over approximately 10,000 days since the enactment of the corporation’s establishment ordinance, GH has continuously innovated and grown," emphasizing, "Building on the past 27 years as a stepping stone, GH will create a Gyeonggi Province with more, more balanced, and better opportunities together with the residents."
He continued, "GH promises to create a city where work, residence, and leisure are all possible? a work-live-play city, a green city achieving carbon neutrality, supplying customized housing for each life cycle, and a livable city where spatial welfare without discrimination is realized."
