KORAIL Distribution announced 'VISION 2030' at the commemorative event celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The ceremony held on the 29th at the JK Art Convention Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was organized to reflect on the achievements of the past 20 years and to explore new directions for growth as a leading company in railway distribution. About 200 people, including KORAIL Distribution executives and employees and Choi Ho-kwon, the mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, attended to share this meaningful moment.
Lee Taeksang, CEO of KORAIL Distribution, said in his commemorative speech, "Over the past 20 years, we have grown together with the public, customers, and local communities, creating new value by combining railways and distribution. Going forward, we will fulfill our social responsibilities through smart services and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, and become a reliable partner that grows alongside our customers' daily lives."
On this day, KORAIL Distribution declared 'VISION 2030' with the slogan "Creating the right distribution today in Korea. Creating a different tomorrow," unveiling a new management blueprint. The mid- to long-term management strategy and its tasks include ▲Implementing a smart distribution ecosystem ▲Maximizing asset value with efficiency focus ▲Innovating sustainable mobility services ▲Strengthening public interest based on digital technology.
An awards ceremony was also held to encourage employees and partner companies who contributed to the company's development. Commendations were awarded to 32 outstanding employees and 7 long-term employees, and appreciation certificates were presented to 12 key partners, including Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), who contributed to achieving management goals.
KORAIL Distribution will also hold special events to celebrate its 20th anniversary. First, on the founding anniversary on the 2nd of next month, all members of the 'Storyway Plus' application will receive 'Spark Day' points. Additionally, from the 2nd to the 16th, new members will be given an extra 2,000 points.
Meanwhile, KORAIL Distribution began in 1936 as the foundation 'Cheoldo Gangsaenghoe,' transitioned through the foundation 'Hongikhoe' in 1967, and was launched as the current distribution specialized company in December 2004. This November, it surpassed its highest monthly sales of 600 billion KRW since its establishment.
