This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Forever Music Volunteer Group, led by Director Lee Bang-hyun, with about 50 members including employees and their families participating.
In particular, the members actively use their spare time while working in their main jobs to practice together every week at the practice room in the Jeonnam Dragons soccer stadium, striving to provide a refined performance.
This regular concert is held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Forever Music Volunteer Group and will present a feast of beautiful sounds to the citizens based on their practice and efforts so far.
The concert will be divided into three parts. In the first and third parts, they will perform famous pieces by renowned composers such as Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite, Anton?n Dvo??k, and Joaqu?n Rodrigo.
In the second part, pop-opera singers consisting of five vocalists including tenor, baritone, and bass will collaborate with the Forever Wind Orchestra to perform pieces such as "Contempo-Divo," the musical Notre-Dame de Paris’s "The Age of Cathedrals," and Queen’s "Bohemian Rhapsody."
Additionally, conductor Paeng Gi-won, who won the Conductor Award at the World Youth Wind Competition held in Germany and the Conductor Award at the Mid-Europe Youth Wind Competition in Austria, will lead the performance, raising expectations for an even more refined concert.
Lee Bang-hyun, director of the Forever Wind Orchestra, said, “We have prepared diligently for this orchestra performance as it marks the 20th anniversary of the volunteer group’s founding,” adding, “I hope our performance can bring happy moments to neighbors weary from the cold winter life.”
