Korea Teachers' Credit Union Wins at Korea Auditors Conference for 2 Consecutive Years

"Achievement of Triple Crown Victory"

The Korea Teachers' Credit Union announced on the 29th that it received the Excellence Award in the Compliance Monitoring category for institutions, the Proud Auditor Grand Prize, and the Best Award in the Internal Audit Competition at the "2024 Korea Auditors Conference" held the previous day at the Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel Ramada Ballroom.


The Credit Union received the Excellence Award in the Compliance Monitoring category for institutions due to high evaluations in ▲ raising awareness of compliance monitoring within the organization ▲ establishing and practicing internal control systems. Deputy Manager Gong Jeong-bae of the Audit Office also received the Grand Prize in the Proud Auditor category for ▲ contributions to the development of internal auditing at the institution ▲ innovations in audit work and promoting the honor of auditors.

At the 2024 Internal Audit Competition held online on the 7th, four employees from the Audit Office (Manager Choi Hoe-ryeong, Manager Im Yong-hwan, Manager Yoon Chung-soo, and Deputy Oh Jin-soo) participated and received the Best Award.


The Internal Audit Competition is jointly hosted by the Korea Auditors Association, HM Company, and the Korea Digital Forensics Experts Association. It emphasizes the importance of AI and digital data and was established to create guidelines to enhance the efficiency of corporate internal audits. This year, 18 public and private teams, including the Korea Teachers' Credit Union, National Health Insurance Service, and Bithumb, participated. Awards were given to ▲ 1 Grand Prize team ▲ 2 Best Award teams ▲ 3 Excellence Award teams ▲ 4 Encouragement Award teams.


Last year, the Credit Union also participated mainly with deputy manager-level staff in the Internal Audit Competition and received the Best Award. This year, they challenged with a team centered on manager-level staff and won the Best Award for two consecutive years. Lee Chun-ho, Standing Auditor of the Korea Teachers' Credit Union, stated, "It is very meaningful to once again demonstrate the Credit Union's internal audit capabilities and expertise in this competition," and added, "We will continue to contribute to the sustainable management of the Korea Teachers' Credit Union based on transparency and trust."
