Yangju Fire Station and Seojeong University Student Professional Medical Fire Brigade Sign Inaugural Business Agreement

The "University Student Specialized Volunteer Fire Brigade" is composed of university students majoring in fire-related departments or emergency rescue studies, or those with related specialties. Under normal circumstances, they contribute to spreading a safety culture through fire prevention and fire safety promotion activities, and in the event of a disaster, they act as fire support personnel on site.


At the agreement ceremony, eight officials from both sides attended, including Kang Deok-won, Chief of Yangju Fire Station; Wi Sang-bae, Vice President of Education at Seojeong University; Yeom Il-yeol, Director of External Cooperation; Song Yoon-seok, Head of the Fire Safety Management Department; and Lee Sang-han, Head of the Emergency Rescue Department.


The main contents of the agreement included △ establishing pre-education and cooperation systems necessary for the activities of the University Student Specialized Volunteer Fire Brigade △ exchanging knowledge and information required for the brigade’s activities △ participation in ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) activities by the brigade △ discussions for achieving work objectives such as promotion using SNS.


Chief Kang Deok-won stated, "With the youth, expertise, and creativity of university students, the operation of the specialized volunteer fire brigade has created a strong support force," adding, "We expect it to play an important role in spreading a safety culture among citizens."
