Construction documents collectively refer to design drawings, structural calculation reports, and more. The nD-Folder is a technology that connects information within digital documents to ensure data consistency. Recently, the importance of digital document management has increased as various information is shared electronically on-site.
This system interlinks the input, design, and analysis process information of structural calculation reports and automatically connects them with structural drawing information. Generally, structural drawings are created based on structural calculation reports, and since they are directly related to building safety, the accuracy of structural information is required. Hanwha Construction Division expects this system to significantly enhance design consistency and structural safety. The intuitive user interface is also expected to reduce the review time for drawings and calculation reports by more than 70%.
Through this agreement, both companies will conduct joint research for the development and commercialization of the document management system. The solution owned by FiveDWith will be applied to Hanwha Construction Division’s complex development project document management service, where technology advancement and performance verification will be carried out.
Kim Min-seok, Head of the Architecture Business Headquarters at Hanwha Construction Division, said, "The construction industry is rapidly changing through digital transformation. This agreement will serve as an opportunity to establish a foundation for safe construction by improving work efficiency as well as the quality of design documents."
