Yeongyang-gun Holds '2025 Health Project Briefing' with Local Leaders

Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a 2025 health project briefing session on the 28th at the Yeongyang-gun Comprehensive Welfare Center, with the participation of more than 80 representatives from local institutions and organizations as well as health center staff.

This event was held to announce the 2024 health project implementation details and key health indicator results, and to share the 2025 health project plans in order to increase residents' interest and participation rates and improve the health level of the local community.


At the event, representatives from Yeongyang-gun’s major institutions and organizations (Village Chiefs Association, Senior Citizens Association, Yeongyang Police Station, 119 Safety Center), institutions and organizations cooperating with the health center for vulnerable group health management (Multicultural Center, Welfare Center for the Disabled, Community Security Council, Senior Welfare Center, Elderly Care Facilities), and resident groups directly participating in health projects (Health Village Committee, Health Guard, Dementia Care Village) attended.


As a pre-event, members of the Mental Health Team’s Saranghoe prepared health exercises, and the Health Village Committee of Ipam-myeon performed an exciting Nanta drum performance.

The main event included awarding the county governor’s commendation to health project contributors and civilians, followed by an explanation of next year’s health projects, and a Q&A session with participating residents to collect their opinions.


County Governor Oh Do-chang said, “We will continue to carefully address local health issues through various strategies and work together with residents to create a healthy Yeongyang.”
