Gyeonggi Province fully lifted the livestock movement restrictions imposed on the Anseong area quarantine zone (within a 5km radius of the affected farm) related to Lumpy Skin Disease that occurred at a dairy farm in Anseong City on the 29th of last month, effective on the 29th.
The lifting of the movement restrictions was based on the fact that one month had passed since vaccination, no additional cases had occurred in the past four weeks, and detailed inspections of 151 small farms within the Anseong area quarantine zone confirmed no abnormalities.
With the lifting of the quarantine measures, all restrictions on the movement of live cattle, manure, and livestock vehicles at cattle farms within the quarantine zone have been lifted.

Immediately after the occurrence of Lumpy Skin Disease, Gyeonggi Province culled the infected cattle at the affected farm, blocked the movement of visitors and vehicles, encouraged vaccination of all eligible cattle at small farms across the province, and intensified disinfection and vector insect control at related facilities such as livestock farms, feed companies, milk collection agencies, manure treatment companies, and slaughterhouses.
Gyeonggi Province explained that through these intensive quarantine measures, it was able to minimize livestock industry damage caused by Lumpy Skin Disease and lift all movement restrictions within the provincial quarantine zones without any additional cases.
Shin Byungho, Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory, stated, "Even after the lifting of the movement restrictions, we will maintain a thorough quarantine system to establish a stable foundation for the livestock industry."
