Operation of Pilot Lectures to Commemorate the Opening of Sutaek Lifelong Learning Center
The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 29th that it will publicly recruit capable and motivated instructors to lead short-term programs at the Sutak Lifelong Learning Center, which will newly open in December, for five days from November 28 to December 4.
The recruitment fields include seven designated courses such as senior picture books, film humanities, and floristry, as well as three self-proposed courses related to music and media. Detailed information can be found on the Guri City Hall website.
Applicants should submit required documents including a lecture video under 2 minutes, instructor application form, lecture plan, and self-evaluation form for instructors via email to the person in charge within the application period.
Meanwhile, the Sutak Lifelong Learning Center plans to hold an opening ceremony on December 12, start short-term programs for pilot operation in January 2025, and open regular courses in March. The city intends to operate demand-tailored programs for local residents, including courses for seniors and music-specialized courses.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri stated, “By organizing a professional team of instructors in new lifelong learning fields and operating programs, we will contribute to improving the quality of life and pursuing happiness for Guri citizens.”
