President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration slightly declined. Opinions were evenly split on the first trial verdict of not guilty in the perjury coaching case involving Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, with some saying the ruling was appropriate and others saying it was wrong.


According to a public opinion poll released on the 29th by Gallup Korea (conducted from the 26th to the 28th via telephone interviews with 1,001 nationwide respondents aged 18 and over, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and a response rate of 11.0%), President Yoon's approval rating was 19%, down 1 percentage point from the previous week. Negative evaluations that he is performing poorly remained at 72%, unchanged from last week.

President Yoon's approval rating hit a post-inauguration low of 17% in the first week of November, rebounded to 20% in the second week, and maintained 20% in the third week. However, with the recent decline, his approval rating has fallen back into the 10% range. Thus, President Yoon's approval rating has returned to the 10% range after three weeks.


Regarding party approval ratings, the People Power Party's support rose by 4 percentage points to 32%. The Democratic Party's support fell by 1 percentage point to 33%. The Justice Party's support dropped by 2 percentage points to 5%.


On the first trial verdict related to Lee Jae-myung's perjury coaching case, 41% of respondents said the ruling was appropriate, while 39% said it was wrong.
