Rebirth of Waste Boxes as Paper Canvases
Education to Improve Awareness of Elderly Waste Collectors

HD Hyundai Oilbank announced on the 29th that about 40 employees participated in the 'Making Paper Canvas of Hope' campaign.

This campaign was conducted in collaboration with Lovely Paper, a senior-friendly and eco-friendly social enterprise established in 2017. It goes beyond simply recycling discarded resources to create new products and generate value.

Employees of HD Hyundai Oilbank who participated in the campaign made paper canvases using discarded boxes. The paper canvases, along with art supplies, will be delivered to local children's centers.

Along with making paper canvases, education to improve awareness of elderly waste paper collectors was also conducted. In 2021, the National Institute of Ecology officially changed the term to 'Resource Recycling Activist' to improve social awareness of elderly waste paper collectors and emphasize the value of resource circulation.

An employee who participated in the campaign said, "I feel proud not only to create new value by utilizing discarded resources but also to help the local community," adding, "It was a meaningful time as I learned anew about Resource Recycling Activists."
