Visit your local community center by December 6 to apply... 36 projects to be implemented from January 10 to June 30 next year
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will promote the ‘Donghaeng Job Project’ in the first half of 2025 to ensure employment stability and livelihood support for low-income vulnerable employment groups.
This project will be conducted for about six months from January 10 to June 30 next year, and a total of 301 participants will be recruited.
The ‘Donghaeng Job Project’ is a program that provides direct jobs through 36 public sector projects such as park environment maintenance. Eligibility requires applicants to be 18 years or older as of the project start date, capable of working, residents of Dongdaemun-gu who belong to vulnerable employment groups or need livelihood support. Additionally, applicants must have a household income at or below 80% of the median income and combined household assets and income of 400 million KRW or less.
Working conditions are based on 3 to 6 hours per day and 5 days per week, applying the 2025 minimum wage of 10,030 KRW per hour, allowing participants to earn up to approximately 1.65 million KRW per month. Additional benefits such as weekly holiday pay, annual leave pay, and snack allowances will also be provided to participants.
Applications for participation will be accepted in person at the resident center of the applicant’s registered address jurisdiction until December 6. Required documents include the application form and consent form for personal information provision. Selection results will be individually notified in early January next year, and the final selected participants will start working from January 10.
The district office plans to provide administrative support so that participants not only receive temporary livelihood support but can also connect to sustainable employment through this project.
