Held at the District Office New Building Lifelong Learning Center on the 28th... Certificates Awarded to 26 Participants Completing the Village Gardener Training Course

On the 28th, Guro-gu held a completion ceremony for the '1st Village Gardener Training Course' at the Lifelong Learning Center in the new building of the district office.

The district established the Village Gardener Training Course at the Garden Support Center, which opened last month on Gaebong-dong, to spread garden culture in the local community and cultivate talents with expertise in garden management.

The course ran for two months from October to November (a total of 10 sessions, 20 hours), covering theoretical learning and practical training on understanding gardens, creating and managing garden plants, pest and disease control, and other topics related to village gardeners and plants. Among the 30 students enrolled, 26 completed the training course.

At the completion ceremony, Eom Euishik, Acting Mayor of Guro-gu, attended and awarded certificates to the 26 students who completed the education and offered congratulatory remarks.

Following this, a special lecture titled 'The Beginning and Mindset of a Village Gardener' was given by Kim Myung-yoon, CEO of My Landscape, who was invited as a lecturer, concluding the event.

A Guro-gu official stated, “The Village Gardener Training Course will not only spread garden culture but also help improve residents' quality of life by providing leisure activities. We will continue to strive to create a garden culture that residents can cultivate and enjoy together.”

The village gardeners produced through this training course plan to participate in various activities to promote garden culture and maintain communication with residents, including the 'Creating Small Gardens in Front of My House' campaign to cultivate idle land into gardens, the Guro Garden Festa, and operating garden experience booths.
