First Recruitment for K-Food Business Department and Psychomotor Science Department
Daegu Cyber University will begin recruiting new and transfer students for the first semester of the 2025 academic year starting from the 1st of next month.
The departments open for recruitment are ▲Play Therapy ▲Art Therapy ▲Speech Therapy ▲Behavior Therapy ▲Counseling Psychology ▲Psychomotor Therapy (newly established) ▲Clinical Psychology ▲Rehabilitation Counseling ▲Social Welfare ▲Social Welfare Counseling ▲Special Education ▲Korean Language and Multicultural Studies ▲Public Administration ▲Electrical and Electronic Engineering ▲K-Food Business (newly established), totaling 15 departments.
Daegu Cyber University plans to actively recruit students by reflecting social demands and trends, establishing the Psychomotor Therapy and K-Food Business departments, and strengthening departments focused on practical fieldwork.
Considering the recent global popularity of Korean Wave content such as K-pop, K-dramas, and K-movies, interest and preference for Korean culture are rapidly spreading worldwide. By establishing the K-Food Business department, the university aims to research the global growth potential of Korean food culture and the food industry and cultivate talents capable of designing marketing strategies suitable for the global market.
Additionally, as modern society increasingly values the balance between mental and physical health, the Psychomotor Therapy department was established to promote the balanced development of mind and body for contemporary individuals. This department will train professionals who can specialize in researching and implementing integrated therapeutic programs such as mental health improvement through physical activities.
This department offers courses related to rehabilitation, and students who complete the required courses including practical training can work as providers of developmental rehabilitation services.
For admission in the first semester of the 2025 academic year, new students with a high school diploma or higher can apply regardless of their high school grades or CSAT scores. Those who have completed 35 or more credits at a four-year university can transfer as second-year students.
Graduates of junior colleges and those who have completed two years or four semesters with 70 or more credits at a four-year university can apply as third-year students.
The industry-sponsored admission track, popular among working professionals, allows employees of companies, government agencies, military units, and other organizations that have agreements with the university to earn a regular four-year bachelor's degree through online classes only, providing opportunities for self-development and practical education.
With 100% online classes and exams, students can attend university without time and space constraints even while working, and they receive a 50% tuition discount.
Applications can be submitted online through the Daegu Cyber University Admissions Center website, and all admission evaluation components?▲Study Plan (70%) and ▲Academic Aptitude Test (30%)?are conducted online.
The tuition fee for one semester, based on 18 credits, is approximately 1.36 million KRW, about one-third the cost of offline universities. Students from basic livelihood security, near-poverty classes, and income brackets 1 through 8 receive full national scholarships, eliminating any educational expenses.
Furthermore, with the expansion of national scholarships, students in income bracket 9 can also receive scholarship benefits, and additional on-campus scholarships are available to ensure affordable tuition fees.
