76 Types of 'AI Digital Textbooks' Approved and Released... Selected from 12 Applicants

Selection and Implementation at Schools Starting Next Year
26 Types for Elementary, 16 for Middle, 34 for High Schools

The Ministry of Education has released the final results of the AI (Artificial Intelligence) digital textbook certification review for elementary, middle, and high schools to be used starting next year.


On the 29th at midnight, the Ministry of Education published the list of AI digital textbooks that passed the final certification in the official gazette. A total of 76 textbooks produced by 12 applicants passed the review. Among them, 26 textbooks are for elementary schools, 16 for middle schools, and 34 for high schools. These textbooks will be introduced in schools starting from the first semester of next year after the schools' selection process.

For the English subject targeting 3rd and 4th graders in elementary school, five publishers passed the review: ▲Cheonjae Education (2 titles) ▲Donga Publishing (2 titles) ▲Icecream Media (2 titles) ▲Cheonjae Textbook (4 titles) ▲YBM (4 titles).


For elementary school mathematics, two publishers passed: ▲YBM (4 titles) ▲Cheonjae Textbook (8 titles).


For middle school English 1, seven publishers were selected: ▲Visang Education (1 title) ▲NE Neungyule (1 title) ▲Jihaksa (1 title) ▲MiraeN (1 title) ▲Donga Publishing (2 titles) ▲Cheonjae Textbook (2 titles) ▲YBM (2 titles).


For middle school Mathematics 1, three publishers passed: ▲Visang Education (1 title) ▲Gyohaksa (1 title) ▲Cheonjae Textbook (2 titles).


For middle school Information subject, two publishers passed: ▲Visang Education (1 title) ▲MiraeN (1 title).


For high school Common English 1 and 2, seven publishers were selected: ▲Visang Education (2 titles) ▲Jihaksa (2 titles) ▲MiraeN (2 titles) ▲Donga Publishing (2 titles) ▲NE Neungyule (4 titles) ▲Cheonjae Textbook (4 titles) ▲YBM (4 titles).


For high school Common Mathematics 1 and 2, the selected publishers are: ▲Visang Education (2 titles) ▲YBM (2 titles) ▲Classting (2 titles) ▲Jihaksa (2 titles) ▲Cheonjae Textbook (4 titles).


For high school Information subject, two publishers passed: ▲Cheonjae Textbook (1 title) ▲Geumseong Publishing (1 title).


The AI digital textbooks will be distributed as display copies to each school on the 2nd of next month, after which each school will decide whether to adopt them.
