Namyangju City Awarded 'Grand Prize' in Gyeonggi-do Housing Administration Excellence Evaluation for Cities and Counties

Leading Housing Administration with Two Consecutive Years of Awards

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 28th that it won the Grand Prize in the 2024 Gyeonggi-do Excellent Housing Administration City and County Evaluation.

This Grand Prize marks the second consecutive year of winning, following last year's 'Grand Prize,' recognizing it as a model case in housing administration.

The Gyeonggi-do Excellent Housing Administration City and County Evaluation is conducted to enhance the reliability of housing administration and improve the quality of administrative services.

The evaluation criteria include △ housing supply and quality improvement △ activation of apartment communities △ improvement of residential welfare △ implementation of housing administration policies, assessing the overall housing-related work of each local government.

This year, Namyangju City received high marks through numerous excellent policies, including the ‘On-Pum Residential Welfare Service,’ which supports the entire relocation process for rental housing for vulnerable residential groups.

In particular, key achievements recognized include self-quality inspections to prevent apartment quality disputes in advance, a public rental housing joint electricity fee support project, and an aged apartment repair support project.

Additionally, through various policies such as △ support for safety management of small-scale apartments △ landscaping academy education △ pre-consultation for apartments △ operation of apartment advisory groups and professional audit teams, the city contributed to improving citizens' residential environment and revitalizing communities.
