“To realize ‘Victory Navy 4.0,’ I will dedicate myself to fulfilling the mission of ‘cultivating elite soldiers’ by inheriting the shining history of the Education Command.”

Lieutenant General Kang Jeong-ho, the 31st Commander of the Navy Education Command, emphasized this at the inauguration ceremony.

The Navy Education Command (hereinafter Education Command) held the 30th and 31st Commander Change of Command Ceremony on the 28th at the Patriot Hall within the unit.

Admiral Yang Yong-mo, Chief of Naval Operations, said in his address, “At the starting point for the Navy to accomplish its given missions stands the Education Command,” adding, “I deeply engrave the sense of mission that it is the cornerstone for realizing a victorious navy that earns the trust of the people and instills fear in the enemy, as well as the springboard responsible for the Navy’s centennial future, and I believe it will nurture the Navy’s elite warriors.”

In his inaugural speech, the new Commander Kang Jeong-ho emphasized ‘training strong warriors, developing the education system, and fostering a culture of communication,’ urging, “With the belief that ‘education is the future,’ I ask that the soldiers we train carry the responsibility of being the future of the Navy and the Republic of Korea and do their best in the missions assigned to them.”

Commander Kang was commissioned as the 47th graduate of the Korea Naval Academy and has served as the captain of ROKS Hong Beom-do, Director of the Naval Policy Office, Chief of Naval Personnel Department, and Commander of the Submarine Command.
