Warm Lunch Together 'Hamkke Ramyeon' 1st Branch Opens
Available to All Residents During Weekday and Weekend Lunch Hours
On the 28th, Usan-dong in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju opened 'Hamkkeramyeon,' the first branch of the Nanum Restaurant. The local fresh seafood restaurant was remodeled. Provided by Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu.
On the 28th, a 'Sharing Restaurant' where any resident can comfortably enjoy a warm lunch opened in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju (Dongjang Lee Won-geun).
The first 'Sharing Restaurant,' named 'Together Ramen,' was opened by remodeling the Cheongjeong Badahoe restaurant (CEO Jo Jeong-seon) in the area. Any local resident can freely cook and eat ramen provided in the restaurant during lunchtime. Of course, rice and side dishes are also provided free of charge.
The service is available only during weekday and weekend lunch hours (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
Jo Jeong-seon, CEO of Cheongjeong Badahoe, said, "Although our restaurant's sales have been declining due to the poor economy, we opened the Sharing Restaurant with the heart to help those who are struggling and find even one meal a burden during these times." He added, "It is rewarding and encouraging to receive inquiries from acquaintances and social organizations offering to sponsor ramen after hearing the news."
Lee Won-geun, Dongjang of Usan-dong, stated, "The Sharing Restaurant is an example of practicing the value of coexistence amid the economic downturn. We will do our best to support the expansion and sustainability of the Sharing Restaurant to the 2nd and 3rd branches through voluntary participation and sponsorship, helping the community enjoy a hearty meal."
