Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held a donation ceremony for support items for vulnerable groups in the region and signed a business agreement to support grandparent-grandchild families with the Samyuk Foundation, a social welfare corporation (Chairman Kang Soon-gi), on the 28th.

On this day, the Samyuk Foundation donated 1,004 boxes each of Samyuk Soy Milk and seaweed (worth a total of 30 million KRW), and the donated items will be distributed to vulnerable households in the city through Namyangju Social Welfare Center and the community security councils in towns, townships, and neighborhoods.
The subsequent business agreement to support grandparent-grandchild families was prepared for the city and the Samyuk Foundation to cooperate in supporting the care and growth of grandparent-grandchild families and to spread a culture of sharing in the local community.
According to the agreement, Namyangju City will recommend project beneficiaries and handle administrative support, while the Samyuk Foundation will provide practical assistance to grandparent-grandchild families through annual planning, systematic support activities, and continuous partnerships.
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju said, “This agreement will be an important milestone in establishing a sustainable culture of coexistence and sharing beyond simple cooperation for vulnerable groups in the local community,” adding, “We will continue to strive to establish Namyangju as a welfare city.”
Kang Soon-gi, Chairman of the Samyuk Foundation, said, “I am pleased to participate in the business agreement to support grandparent-grandchild families in Namyangju City,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in creating a healthy and warm society through social contribution activities and socially responsible management.”
