The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced on the 28th that it will accept applications for the "2025 Currency Museum Special Exhibition Hall Rental" until the 13th of next month.
The Currency Museum, the first specialized currency museum in Korea, has established itself as a cultural landmark in the Daejeon area, attracting an average of 110,000 visitors annually since its opening in 1988.
In particular, since 2008, it has provided exhibition space free of charge to local cultural artists, hosting a total of 169 special exhibitions featuring paintings, photography, crafts, and more.
The special exhibitions have played a role in offering visitors the opportunity to appreciate both the history of currency and artistic works. They are also recognized for creating social value by providing local artists with free opportunities to exhibit their creative works.
Applications for rental can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Currency Museum’s website, filling it out, and sending it via email to the person in charge. The Currency Museum plans to review the submitted applications and discuss schedules through a deliberation process.
Sung Chang-hoon, President of the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation, said, “We will spare no support to ensure that the Currency Museum goes beyond being a simple exhibition space to become a platform that enhances the creative spirit of local artists and promotes the popularization of art.”
