Mercury, a specialized information and communication equipment company, announced on the 28th that it has launched an affordable 5G WiFi router that can be used for various purposes.
The company explained that this newly released product was developed as an affordable model to reduce the price burden, and it is expected to significantly contribute to the expansion of the 5G router market.
In particular, this product applies WiFi 6 and supports simultaneous connections of more than 100 devices, making it suitable for small to medium-sized businesses. It also provides easy internet service through 5G and LTE networks in environments where wired network installation is difficult.
A Mercury official said, “After supplying bus public WiFi products used on city buses nationwide last year, user satisfaction is currently very high. In addition to this affordable product, we are promoting the development of various 5G router products, including those supporting the latest WiFi 7.”
He added, “Mercury holds nearly 60% market share in the WiFi AP (Access Point) market leased for home use through telecom operators, making it the undisputed number one WiFi company in Korea. Based on this achievement, we plan to actively expand our business into the domestic and export markets for 5G terminals.”
