Consideration of 300,000 KRW Payment Starting Next Year
Nam Young-sook, a member of the Construction and Fire Committee of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council (People Power Party, Sangju 1), 대표 발의 the “Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Brokerage Fees for Housing in Gyeongsangbuk-do” at the 2nd regular meeting of the 351st session of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, and on the 27th, it passed the review of the Construction and Fire Committee, the relevant standing committee.
This amendment ordinance aims to support brokerage fees for housing for vulnerable groups who have difficulty using brokerage services due to increased brokerage fees caused by rising housing prices.
The target beneficiaries for housing brokerage fee support are recipients and near-poor groups under the “National Basic Livelihood Security Act,” and this ordinance is expected to serve as an institutional measure to reduce the economic burden of brokerage fees when vulnerable groups sign housing contracts.
Through this amendment, Representative Nam emphasized the purpose of the ordinance revision, stating, “Due to fluctuations in housing prices caused by inflation, brokerage fees have become a significant burden for vulnerable groups,” and “continuous policy efforts are necessary to ensure that vulnerable groups can live in stable housing environments.”
An official from the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council stated, “After the ordinance passes, the executive branch plans to prepare a budget during the supplementary budget in April next year to support brokerage fees when low-income households move, and the amount is being reviewed around 300,000 KRW.”
