On the 28th, Samsung SDS announced the appointment of Lee Junhee, Vice President and Head of Strategic Marketing Team at Samsung Electronics' Network Business Division, as the new CEO.
New CEO Lee Junhee is an IT and telecommunications technology expert who graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from MIT in the United States. He joined Samsung Electronics' DMC Research Center in 2006 and served as the head of the Wireless Business Division's Technology Strategy Team. He has demonstrated excellent technological leadership and management capabilities while serving as the head of the Network Business Division's Development Team and Strategic Marketing Team.
Based on his experience with technological innovation demonstrated in Samsung Electronics' Galaxy series and the successful know-how of the world's first commercialization of 5G networks, CEO Lee Junhee is expected to lead Samsung SDS's new leap forward and establish a sustainable growth foundation in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).
Samsung SDS plans to finalize and announce the regular executive appointments for 2025, including positions below vice president, in the near future.
