Won Universe announced on the 28th that it will participate in Korea Meta Expo (KME 2024) and exhibit its self-developed AI-based digital pet project, 'My Pet Town.'
KME 2024, hosted by Ecomice and ZDNet Korea, is being held for three days from the 27th at COEX in Seoul. The event is co-organized by the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association, Korea Robot Industry Association, and Korea Digital Medical Convergence Industry Association, featuring exhibitions and conferences under the theme of Life Meta, including AI, Metaverse convergence technology, future mobility, medical and healthcare, and the sleep industry.
'My Pet Town,' which Won Universe is exhibiting this time, was selected in May for the 'New Technology Convergence Content Production Support Project for the Disabled,' organized by the Korea Association of Realistic Metaverse Contents under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It is a nurturing game that helps alleviate depression among people with disabilities and addresses the lack of communication means through digital pet care.
Users can communicate and exchange information using digital pets linked with Chat GPT. They can nurture their digital pets through interactions such as talking, feeding snacks, and taking walks, contributing to improving the user's quality of life through emotional bonding.
Yang Bo-geun, director of Won Universe, stated, “My Pet Town, developed to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, will go through final stages after this exhibition and will be officially launched within the year.” He added, “Life Meta, a new market that enhances individual quality of life, is a convergence industry of metaverse, wellness, and artificial intelligence, and is expected to have significant growth opportunities in the future.”
