Samsung Global Research announced on the 28th that it will establish a president-level organization called the 'Management Diagnosis Office' and appoint Choi Yoon-ho, CEO of Samsung SDI, as the new head of the Management Diagnosis Office.
The 'Management Diagnosis Office' is a specialized consulting organization that diagnoses and supports the derivation of improvement measures for management, organization, and business processes at the request of affiliated companies.
Samsung explained, "In order to overcome the uncertain management environment and lay the foundation for a new leap forward, the office will carry out the mission of enhancing the business competitiveness and securing the management soundness of affiliated companies."
CEO Choi Yoon-ho is recognized as a key executive who laid the foundation for the growth of the battery business despite difficult internal and external environments, having served as head of the Europe General Management Support Team at Samsung Electronics, strategy team at the Future Strategy Office, business support TF, and head of the Management Support Office at Samsung Electronics before moving to CEO of Samsung SDI at the end of 2021.
The company expects that through CEO Choi Yoon-ho’s leadership, who possesses global experience and business operation capabilities, it will be able to build a solid and sustainable growth foundation for each affiliated company.
Samsung Global Research also plans to finalize and announce the regular executive personnel appointments for 2025, including vice presidents and below, in the near future.
