Actress Go Hyun-jung drew attention by mentioning the children she had with her ex-husband, Jung Yong-jin, chairman of the Shinsegae Group. This is practically the first time Go Hyun-jung has spoken specifically about her children.

Appearing on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' aired on the 27th, Go Hyun-jung opened up by saying, "Many people wonder whether I see my children or not." She said, "The first thing I can say is that a mother should just be comfortable. But that is out of the question." Go Hyun-jung added, "Since we don't live together, I felt awkward and distant. I didn't know that being distant could be this sad. Feeling that way made me very sad. Since it's gone, it can't be filled, right? I was very upset," she choked up.

Previously, Go Hyun-jung suddenly retired from the entertainment industry after marrying Jung Yong-jin, chairman of Shinsegae, in 1995. They had one son and one daughter but divorced in 2003 after eight years of marriage. She returned to acting in 2005 with the drama 'Spring Day' and has continued her career since. Recently, she has been actively communicating with the public by creating an Instagram account and launching a YouTube channel.

Go Hyun-jung said, "Many people feel sorry connecting my YouTube and Instagram activities to my children," adding, "I don't want to burden my children. Please help me a little. I want to return the love I have received well. I hope people don't see me too harshly." She continued, "I want to live well as Go Hyun-jung, born in 1971 in Korea, just like everyone else. I hope there won't be many misunderstandings," she conveyed.

That day, Go Hyun-jung also recalled her romance with Jung Yong-jin during her twenties. She said, "Suddenly, I started dating, and I didn't know dating could be so fun," adding, "I had no thoughts and was completely immersed in love." She reminisced, "When you're in love, endorphins come out, so even if you stay up all night, you can still work," and "It felt like everything in the world was going as intended."

Finally, Go Hyun-jung said, "I really wanted to say this," and confessed, "I think I was often rude in front of the public. It's not about youth or stubbornness. I want to meet you all through many works with the spirit of an actress who does not lose her sense of the times despite aging."

Go Hyun-jung married Chairman Jung in 1995 and divorced in 2003. They had a son and a daughter. Custody was granted to Chairman Jung. This appearance on a variety show is her first in 15 years since MBC's 'Knee-Drop Guru' in 2009.
