On the 27th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeong-no) announced that it held the 17th Damyang-gun Farmers' College graduation ceremony on the 26th at the Agricultural Technology Center auditorium.

At the graduation ceremony, 39 graduates attended to conclude the year with awards for meritorious service and diploma presentations, sharing the future of Damyang agriculture.

The Farmers' College opened the "Smart Tomato" course in May and conducted 100 hours of education over 20 sessions until November, focusing on field visits and practical training that farmers could immediately apply in real-world settings.

In line with the changing agricultural environment, on-site consulting on ICT-based smart farm construction and cultivation management techniques for mass harvesting of high-quality tomatoes received great responses from farmers.

A county official stated, "Agriculture is the main industry of Damyang-gun," and added, "We will do our best to proactively respond to the changing agricultural environment, such as smart farms, to maintain the competitiveness of Damyang agriculture."
