The event was organized to share warmth with neighbors in need and to promote a culture of sharing within the local community.
About 30 members of the Changwon City Women's Association participated in the event, personally preparing kimchi, which was then delivered to 100 low-income single-parent families and 14 women's welfare facilities within Changwon City.
Kim Mi-yang, president of the Changwon City Women's Association, stated, "We hope this kimchi-sharing event will provide a small help to single-parent households and users of welfare facilities," adding, "We will continue to carry out various sharing activities together with neighbors in the community."
Meanwhile, the Changwon City Women's Association leads the warm culture of sharing in the community by holding the kimchi-sharing event annually. Every fourth Wednesday of the month, women’s association members prepare side dishes themselves and deliver them to single-parent households, conveying heartfelt warmth.
