Due to the seasonal characteristics of winter, the possibility of gas station fires caused by static electricity is high, and especially in places where flammable vapors linger, there is a risk of fire and explosion accidents due to the handling of heating devices.

The main inspection items include ▲ verification of hazardous materials safety manager’s work status ▲ compliance with hazardous material storage and handling standards such as fire handling ▲ violations of gas station installation standards ▲ smoking by consumers inside gas stations, and engine shutdown confirmation during refueling.

Fire Headquarters Chief Lee Osuk said, "Gas station employees, hazardous materials safety managers, and related personnel should pay special attention to ensure safety management is not neglected," adding, "We will continue to identify and address risk factors in advance to do our best in creating a safe Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province."
