Safety Inspection of Two Local Roads Opening in November Underway
Oh Hu-seok, the Deputy Governor for Administration of Gyeonggi Province, visited the recently opened local roads in the northern Gyeonggi area on the morning of the 27th to check the snow removal response situation and encourage the officials involved.

At 9 a.m. that day, Deputy Governor Oh visited the local road No. 375 Yangju Eunhyeon~Bongam (L=3.88 km) two-lane alignment improvement section located in Eunhyeon-myeon, Yangju City, and the local road No. 359 Paju Munsan~Naepo (2) (L=1.16 km) four-lane expansion construction site located in Munsan-eup, Paju City. He inspected the overall safety management, including road drainage conditions and snow removal measures since the roads opened.
The local road No. 375 Eunhyeon~Bongam section is a 3.88 km two-lane road connecting Seonam-ri and Bongam-ri in Eunhyeon-myeon, Yangju City, which opened on the 22nd.
The local road No. 359 Munsan~Naepo (2) section is a follow-up section to Munsan~Naepo (1), which opened in June 2023. Munsan~Naepo (1) is a 0.82 km road connecting Munsan-ri to Naepo-ri, and with the opening of the Munsan~Naepo (2) section, the entire 1.98 km Munsan~Naepo section has been completed. This section opened on the 12th.
Following Governor Kim Dong-yeon's directive on the 26th to proactively manage the situation regarding snowfall, Gyeonggi Province has activated Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters Level 1 and is conducting emergency snow removal operations and citizen safety management.
Oh Hu-seok, Deputy Governor for Administration of Gyeonggi Province, said, “Due to the record-breaking heavy snowfall, the evening commute is expected to be very difficult. I hope that, together with the cities and counties, we actively promote snow response measures to ease the inconvenience for citizens on their way home.”
