Trend Rapper Gaogai Appointed as Public Relations Ambassador of Namyangju City

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) appointed singer Gao Gai as the new city ambassador on the 27th.

Gao Gai is a singer loved for his unique musical style and outstanding talent, and he is a local talent who hails from Namyangju City.

He debuted in 2017 as part of the hip-hop duo ‘Hopegang’ and gained recognition for his exceptional skills by finishing 9th in the final round of 'Show Me the Money Season 9' in 2020.

He has also appeared on various entertainment programs such as 'Money Game' and 'Uma Game,' building recognition among the younger generation. Recently, he participated in the hip-hop survival program 'Rap:Public,' showcasing leadership and skill, earning great acclaim.

Gao Gai expressed, “I am very honored to be able to serve as an ambassador for Namyangju City, where I was born and raised.” He added, “As much as I love Namyangju, I will do my best to promote the city.”

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, “We are pleased that hip-hop artist Gao Gai, who grew up in Namyangju, will represent the city and communicate with its citizens,” and added, “I ask him to widely promote the charm of Namyangju through his unique sensibility.”

Meanwhile, during his two-year term as ambassador, Gao Gai plans to engage in various activities to promote Namyangju City, including participating in city events and producing promotional content.
