Various Cognitive Training Programs Including Craft Classes Conducted
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 27th that it has completed the operation of the '3rd Memory Flower Rest Center' for patients with mild dementia and held a completion ceremony as of the 25th.
The 3rd Memory Flower Rest Center is a program aimed at 11 patients with mild dementia, designed to strengthen remaining cognitive functions through various cognitive training programs to prevent the progression of dementia to a severe stage.

The program consists of △cognitive enhancement education △brain nerve strengthening classes △physical strengthening classes △craft classes and art therapy classes, focusing not only on cognitive and physical functions but also on enhancing social contact and interaction.
At the completion ceremony, participants shared their impressions of the classes and enjoyed refreshments together after finishing physical stimulation exercises such as basic stretching, gymnastics with singing, aerobic, and balance exercises.
Kim Seong-cheol, Director of the Health Center, said, “I hope the rest center program provided time for dementia seniors to interact with each other,” and added, “We will strive to offer various programs next year to reduce the burden not only on the patients but also on their families.”
