The city conducts an annual implementation evaluation of the previous year to determine compliance with the allocated load established in the implementation plan, in accordance with the 'Act on Improvement of Water Quality of the Han River Basin and Support for Residents.'
Water pollution total load management is a statutory project that sets target water quality (BOD, T-P) for rivers and manages and evaluates the amount of pollutants discharged from the relevant unit watershed to be below the allowable load, thereby reducing water pollution.
At this meeting, the current water quality status of Goyang City, pollution sources, development plans, designated allocation facilities, and allocated loads were investigated and evaluated.
A city official stated, “By reflecting the water pollution total load management system in various development projects in Goyang City, we will do our best to achieve the target water quality of the river unit watersheds in Goyang City, thereby harmonizing development and conservation.”
Meanwhile, according to the basic plan for water pollution total load management, the city established and has been implementing the 'Phase 2 (2021?2030) Water Pollution Total Load Management Implementation Plan' in August 2022.
