Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do recently held a completion ceremony for the ‘Hangeul Class Visiting Villages.’
According to the county on the 27th, the ‘Hangeul Class Visiting Villages,’ an adult literacy education program, was promoted to provide learning opportunities to villagers with mobility difficulties. Literacy teachers visit village halls, senior centers, and other locations to teach a variety of topics, from reading and writing to essential daily life knowledge such as finance, transportation, and crime prevention.

Since the completion of the Hangeul class schedule earlier this month, the county personally visited 27 locations within the region to deliver certificates of completion to 196 participating residents. The calligraphy and poetry exhibition works created by the graduates were posted on the Jangseong-gun website for public viewing.
County Governor Kim Han-jong said, “We plan to continue supporting so that all residents can enjoy the joy of learning without discrimination.”
Meanwhile, this year, in addition to the Hangeul Class Visiting Villages, the county expanded the ‘Jangseong-style Visiting Education Delivery Service,’ which consists of ▲Hangeul Class Visiting Homes and ▲Hangeul Class Visiting Digitally, and received an excellence award at the National Manifesto Competition.
