Yecheon County (Governor Kim Hak-dong) held the "2024 Yecheon County Vacant House Survey Service Final Report Meeting" on the 27th in the medium conference room on the 3rd floor of the county office.
At the report meeting, 20 people including Yecheon County Governor Kim Hak-dong, related department heads, team leaders, and service contractors attended to focus on discussing the status of vacant houses in the county based on the field survey results, directions for establishing maintenance plans, and vacant house utilization plans by related departments.
A service report meeting for the basic plan of vacant house maintenance is being held in Yecheon-gun.
Since November last year, Yecheon County has been identifying the status of vacant houses in the region for one year and signed a business agreement with the specialized institution Korea Real Estate Board (President Son Tae-rak) to conduct a vacant house survey to solve the increasing vacant house problem every year.
In the vacant house survey, the basic status of vacant houses is identified and classified into grades 1 to 3 according to the condition of major structural parts and risk levels. The survey results confirmed that there are 813 vacant houses in the county: 53 houses in grade 1 (usable), 666 houses in grade 2 (management target), and 94 houses in grade 3 (maintenance target).
Through this service, Yecheon County plans to establish a vacant house maintenance plan in 2025 and seek systematic management and efficient measures for vacant houses.
Yecheon County Governor Kim Hak-dong stated, "By utilizing vacant houses to create new residential and experiential spaces, we will not only create a pleasant and safe living environment but also accelerate policy promotion to form a related population."
