Mayor Lee visited the snow removal forward base in Naegok-dong to check the deployment status of snow removal equipment, then hurried to Hwajeong Station Plaza, where many citizens pass by, and carried out snow removal work together with the staff.

Goyang Special City issued an emergency duty level 1 at 00:30 on the 27th following the heavy snow warning, operating the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters situation room, and conducting emergency duty including the Disaster Response Officer, Road Management Division, District Office Safety and Construction Division, and major snow removal departments as well as the Dong Administrative Welfare Centers.

As the snowfall increased, inconvenience to citizens was expected on side roads, sidewalks, and overpasses where snow removal vehicles could not reach. To minimize inconvenience for commuting citizens, from 06:00, emergency duty was expanded to all departments, deploying more than 50% of the staff to each local site.
