The film "Lust, Caution," starring actors Yang Zaowei (Liang Chaowei) and Tang Wei, will be re-released at CGV theaters in January next year, announced the distributor NK Contents on the 27th.
"Lust, Caution" tells the story of a fateful love between Yi (Yang Zaowei), a key figure among pro-Japanese collaborators, and Wang Qiaozhi (Tang Wei), who disguises herself as a newlywed wife to assassinate him. The film was directed by Ang Lee, known for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000), "Brokeback Mountain" (2006), and "Life of Pi" (2013).
The film, released in 2007, is a melodrama that caused a stir with Yang Zaowei's transformation in acting, a fatal romance, and provocative intimate scenes. It was re-released domestically in 2016.
