VT, CMN Cosmetics Honored with 2024 Korea Best Cosmetics Award... Riddle Shot Gains Explosive Popularity

VT announced on the 27th that it has won the Grand Prize in the ‘2024 Korea Best Cosmetics’ awarded through a joint survey conducted by CMN and Newn AI (formerly RSN), an AI-based unstructured big data analysis company.


Now in its 21st year, the ‘2024 Korea Best Cosmetics’ selected the top brands in each category from 9 companies and 10 brands. Newn AI conducted the survey and selection based on big data analyzing the volume of positive keyword mentions of domestic distributed cosmetic brands on platforms such as Instagram, blogs, Twitter, cafes, communities, YouTube, Knowledge iN, and TikTok from January 1 to September 30, 2024.


Based on Newn AI’s survey results, CMN investigated brands that maintained steady consumer purchases throughout 2024 and received predominantly positive keyword evaluations from consumers. As a result, VT Cosmetic’s VT was finally selected as the Grand Prize-winning brand. VT ranked first in the essence category, second in the sheet mask pack category, and first among brands stocked in Daiso. VT had overwhelmingly more information volume in the essence category and among Daiso-stocked brands, while in the sheet mask category, it closely trailed the first-place brand and received positive consumer evaluations.


In particular, VT has established itself as a trusted brand used by all age groups from teenagers to those in their 60s, regardless of gender. Not only did it win the Grand Prize, but VT also secured first place in the essence category, with its Riddle Shot gaining sensational popularity and becoming the strongest contender in the essence segment.


VT Riddle Shot is an essence-type product that combines VT Cosmetic’s unique ingredients to promote nutrient absorption into the skin. VT Cosmetic introduces consumers to a differentiated skincare concept called “Step 0 Skincare” and the idea of “skin exercise” to maintain healthy skin fundamentals. The brand aims to provide simple and easy Step 0 Skincare regardless of age, race, or nationality.


In the Daiso stocking award category, which was surveyed for the first time this year, VT also ranked first with an overwhelming volume of information. The ‘Riddle Shot,’ launched at a reasonable price in Daiso, emerged as a sold-out item and gained huge popularity. It was evaluated as having greatly contributed to establishing Daiso as a major offline distribution channel for cosmetics.


A VT representative expressed gratitude for the great interest in the company’s products and stated, “We will continue to think from the consumer’s perspective and develop and introduce good products.”


Meanwhile, VT Cosmetic’s Riddle Shot 100 ranked first in the topical device category at the 2023 Glowpick Awards, topped the overall sales ranking on CJ Olive Young’s online mall, and secured first place on Amazon. It also won the Grand Prize in the ‘SHOP OF THE YEAR Cosmetics & Perfume’ category on Japan’s Rakuten in 2023, achieving a total of 204 awards and gaining recognition not only from domestic but also overseas consumers.
