R&Techno, a specialized company in ceramic materials and components, announced on the 27th that it has obtained the international automotive quality management system certification 'IATF16949' for ceramic heat dissipation substrates used in power semiconductors.
IATF 16949 is a global quality certification required for all parts used in the automotive industry, serving as an essential standard for the stable and reliable supply of components. To receive this certification, companies must establish a strict quality management system and demonstrate systematic management capabilities of production facilities and manufacturing sites.
This certification achievement follows R&Techno’s acquisition of the IATF16949 certification for ceramic powder last October, recognizing the quality reliability of ceramic heat dissipation substrates as well. Based on this, R&Techno plans to make a full-scale entry into the global automotive supply chain and secure new growth engines.
Earlier, R&Techno participated in the global PCIM exhibition in June, collaborating with leading global power semiconductor companies on joint development projects. Currently, R&Techno is working with global power semiconductor companies to develop numerous products applicable to electric vehicles and eco-friendly power generation systems.
Additionally, the company is focusing on developing ceramic heat dissipation substrates for electric vehicle inverters and eco-friendly generators. It plans to expand power semiconductor technology beyond automobiles to various industrial sectors. In the future, R&Techno aims to promote the application of these products with major U.S. semiconductor equipment manufacturers, targeting mass production in 2025.
An R&Techno official stated, “This certification is an important achievement that internationally recognizes our quality competitiveness,” adding, “We will continue to improve quality and provide customized solutions to establish ourselves as a trusted partner in high value-added markets such as automotive and defense industries.”
