Gangseo-gu to Hold 'Youth Job Exploration Meeting' on the 30th to Support Career Paths

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will hold the ‘Youth Job Exploration Meeting with the Southwestern Campus Town’ at Balsan Neighborhood Park on the 30th.

In the recent situation where the number of ‘resting youth’ is rapidly increasing, it has become more important to provide young people with opportunities to explore their career paths and receive practical help. This event was organized to offer young people the chance to explore jobs suited to their aptitudes and receive mentoring from youth startup companies in the Southwestern Campus Town, including Gangseo University.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the day and is open to anyone, including university students from the southwestern area, youth residing in Seoul, and those involved in youth policy.

In a special lecture, Korea’s first profiler Professor Kwon Il-yong will give a talk titled ‘Profiling My Work and Career.’ At the experience booths, aptitude tests and various job experiences will be offered. The promotional booths of youth startup companies from four universities in the Seoul Southwestern Campus Town (Gangseo University, Seoul National University, Soongsil University, and Chung-Ang University) are prepared with programs to help young people solve their career concerns.

Startup mentoring and counseling services are expected to provide practical advice to prospective entrepreneurs. Pre-registration for participation in lectures and experience booths is on a first-come, first-served basis until the 29th, and applications can be made via the QR code on the promotional poster or by phone inquiry.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “I hope this event will serve as a compass for young people to explore their career paths,” adding, “I hope it will be an opportunity for young people to find work that suits them, enjoy it, and grow together with the local community.”
