The Administrative Welfare Center of Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, announced on the 25th that Jeonggwan Lotte Castle Daycare Center donated 425,000 KRW to support low-income families in the area.
The donated funds were raised entirely from the proceeds of the 2024 second half Jeonggwan Sharing Flea Market held in October, where the daycare teachers, parents, and children participated as sellers by collecting and directly selling their precious items, along with sponsorship contributions from the Lotte Castle Daycare Center staff.
Notably, Jeonggwan Lotte Castle Daycare Center has been consistently practicing neighborly love by donating all the flea market proceeds for three consecutive years.
Chae Yeon-hee, director of Lotte Castle Daycare Center, expressed, “I hope the sincerity gathered by the children, teachers, and parents will be well used for vulnerable groups in need,” adding, “We will continue to practice neighborly love for the vulnerable.”
Song Young-jong, mayor of Jeonggwan-eup, said, “We thank the teachers, parents, and children of Lotte Castle Daycare Center for sharing their warm affection,” and added, “We will do our best to create a happy Jeonggwan-eup together with many people who voluntarily participate in sharing activities.”
The donated amount of 425,000 KRW will be used as a special project fund by the Jeonggwan-eup Community Security Council to promote welfare for vulnerable groups in Jeonggwan-eup through the Fruit of Love campaign.
