Hope Senior Welfare Center in Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Director Choi Yong-seok) was selected for the ‘2024 Social Welfare Institution Vehicle Support Project’ organized by the KT&G Welfare Foundation and received vehicle support.

The KT&G Welfare Foundation has been conducting a compact car support project since 2004 to provide efficient social welfare services in the field of social welfare.
This year, for the first time since the vehicle support project began, five compact electric passenger cars (Ray) were provided nationwide, and among them, Hope Senior Welfare Center in Yangju City was the only social welfare institution selected in the province.
An electric vehicle charging station is installed at Hope Senior Welfare Center in Yangju City, so the vehicle is expected to be used effectively.
Director Choi Yong-seok said, “Through vehicle support, accessibility to services within the region has improved, enabling us to provide better services to the elderly,” and added, “We will ensure that immediate welfare services are provided to elderly people facing urgent or crisis situations.”
He continued, “We are honored to receive an eco-friendly vehicle in line with the ESG management trend and will strive to be an institution that leads the practice of ESG management.”
Meanwhile, Hope Senior Welfare Center in Yangju City is a senior welfare specialized institution operated by the Hankijang Welfare Foundation, a social welfare corporation entrusted by Yangju City, providing professional social welfare services to open joy and hope for the elderly in the community together with the local society.
