Gwangju City announced on the 26th that it will hold a "Social Economy Enterprise Pop-up Store" showcasing and consulting on products and services from local social economy enterprises for three days from the 27th to the 29th at the first-floor Citizen Hall of City Hall.

This pop-up store was organized not just as a simple exhibition but to strengthen connections between social economy enterprises and public institutions, establish a cooperative foundation, and expand market channels for social economy enterprises. The focus is on activating social value consumption by public institutions and providing opportunities for social economy enterprises to enter the priority purchase market.

The city expects this to revitalize local social economy enterprises and realize social value within public institutions.

This year's pop-up store will showcase various products and services produced by 50 local social economy enterprises, including Deo Joeun Coffee Cooperative, Cheoeum Hangwa Co., Ltd., and Bareun Fingers Co., Ltd. The enterprises will demonstrate the excellence of their products through photo zones, play zones, exhibition zones, and experience zones. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, there will be opportunities to directly taste and sample various products, along with events such as quizzes and roulette.

In particular, customized purchase consultations will be conducted for public institution officials. Information about enterprises will be provided to institutions in need of social economy enterprise products and services, and support will be offered to facilitate actual purchases after the event.

Shin Chang-ho, Director of Labor and Job Policy, said, "This pop-up store is an opportunity to promote the competitiveness of local social economy enterprises and expand public market channels," adding, "We ask for active participation and interest from citizens and public institutions."
