On the 26th, Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon requested thorough preparation through an official document, stating, "After rain on the 25th and 26th, temperatures will drop, and there are concerns about the safety of residents due to heavy snowfall on the 27th and 28th."

He instructed to ensure the prevention of safety accidents for residents through proactive situation management in cooperation with cities and counties in preparation for the first snowfall △ systematic preemptive measures such as preventing road black ice based on real-time weather information △ establishing a heavy snowfall response system by pre-inspecting and deploying snow removal materials and equipment △ conducting pre-snow removal work to prepare for road congestion during commuting hours, traffic accidents, and pedestrian safety accidents, and thoroughly managing disaster-prone areas such as structures vulnerable to snow accumulation.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province established a comprehensive plan on the 15th, including △ strengthening disaster situation management systems △ supporting natural disaster prevention projects △ enhancing snow removal capabilities △ and implementing tailored intensive management measures for cold wave vulnerable groups. The plan designates a four-month period until March 15 of next year as the response period and has entered an emergency response system.
