Providing Opportunities for Startup Learning and Feedback
Chung-Ang University announced on the 26th that it held the '2024 Global Startup Competition' conducted together with domestic and international universities using a metaverse platform.
This competition was hosted and organized by the Chung-Ang University School of Realistic Media Innovation Convergence Project Group, with 35 teams participating from 9 universities across 5 countries worldwide. Some participants joined the competition from Hanoi, Vietnam, while the rest participated through online live streaming.
The participating teams showcased their startup outcomes. Startup experts from organizations such as the Gyeonggi Content Agency and Tap Angel Partners evaluated the teams and selected outstanding startups. The experts also provided constructive feedback to the participants. The awards ceremony was broadcast live online through Com2uS's metaverse platform 'Convention Center.'
Wi Jeong-hyun, head of the Chung-Ang University School of Realistic Media Innovation Convergence Project Group, said, "We encouraged participants to realize the importance of mutual respect and cooperation and to go beyond simple idea conception to actual prototype production." He added, "We hope this competition using the metaverse platform will promote new forms of collaboration and innovation and serve as an opportunity to revitalize the startup ecosystem."
