These days, everywhere you go, it's all about Jung Woo-sung (51). An actor who debuted with the film 'Gumiho' (1994) and has been a top star for 30 years. Loved by people of all ages for his handsome looks and gentle image, he suddenly revealed that he has become a father. Public attention was drawn when it was revealed that model Moon Ga-bi had already given birth to Jung's son eight months ago.

Moon Ga-bi became known through appearances on beauty variety shows such as 'Get It Beauty.' She stopped her entertainment activities after 2019. In fact, she is closer to an influencer who actively expresses herself on social media (SNS) rather than a model. Moon had not used SNS for a while but announced the birth of her son on the 22nd. In this post, she wrote, "With the sudden news, I was not prepared at all, so rather than fully enjoying the joy of pregnancy or congratulations, I quietly spent most of the pregnancy period under the blessings of my family." She hinted at plans to raise the child alone without mentioning marriage or the father of the child.

Two days later, on the 24th, entertainment media Dispatch reported that Jung Woo-sung is the father of Moon's son. The report stated that the two first met in 2022, kept in contact, grew close, and that Moon became pregnant in June of last year. It was also mentioned that their relationship was not based on marriage. Moon gave birth in March. It was only eight months after Jung's child was born that the news became public.

Jung Woo-sung's side stated, "As a father, he will take full responsibility for the child," but did not mention marriage. However, they expressed the intention to provide child support to Moon.

The unexpected 'fatherhood incident' of the top male star has sparked a heated reaction in Korean society. Photos of Jung Woo-sung taken with a non-celebrity woman at a photo studio in Gangnam were revealed, and posts exposing that he had been in a long-term common-law marriage with a married non-celebrity professional woman heated up online community boards. Moreover, various 'dating rumors' have been continuously emerging. Even a female actress recently caught up in dating rumors has been drawn into the spotlight.

Provocative words are attached before and after the name 'Jung Woo-sung.' There is a strong sense of betrayal among the public. Many are sighing over the moral illusions and realities surrounding the male actor. Perhaps anticipating the fallout, Jung suddenly resigned as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, a position he had held for nine years, in July. It is also known that he declined advertising offers after his leading film 'Spring in Seoul' surpassed 10 million viewers last year. Jung Woo-sung has also announced that he is reconsidering his attendance at the Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony scheduled for the 29th.

Recently, Jung took on the lead role in a melodrama and is currently filming the Disney Plus series 'Made in Korea.' However, due to this 'fatherhood incident,' damage to his image seems inevitable.
