Uljin Geumgangsong Forest Jikwansa, November Humanities Lecture 'Time for Geumgangsong Forest Meditation, Breath and Rest' Held

Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Son Byeong-bok) held its first humanities special lecture, "Time for Meditation in the Geumgang Pine Forest, Breath and Rest," on the 22nd at the Uljin Geumgang Pine Forest Jigwanseoga located in the Geumgang Pine Eco-rium Theme Exhibition Hall.

About 30 participants attended the lecture, which was conducted by the music meditation group Querencia. The program was divided into two parts: Part 1 featured a performance and sound experience with the Swiss modern instrument handpan, and Part 2 consisted of meditation in daily life accompanied by music.

The Uljin Geumgang Pine Forest Jigwanseoga was proposed for creation and donation to Uljin-gun by SK D&D in 2023, and the county actively cooperated to establish it in the Geumgang Pine Eco-rium Theme Exhibition Hall.

Together with the Geumgang Pine Eco-rium, the Uljin Geumgang Pine Forest Jigwanseoga aims to provide a comfortable resting space for all visitors under the theme of breath and rest. It seeks to expand Uljin-gun’s humanities infrastructure and foster a humanities ecosystem to create economic and social value and improve the overall quality of life in society.

The space setup for Jigwanseoga was completed in November, with a pilot operation in December, and official operation scheduled to begin in March 2025.

The Uljin Geumgang Pine Forest Jigwanseoga is a humanities cultural space planned by Plato Academy, with the county providing the space and SK donating the funds for its establishment.
