"Forced Drug Inhalation"... Kim Najung Abruptly Closes SNS Account Broadcaster Kim Najung, former announcer. Kim Najung Instagram

Freelance announcer-turned-broadcaster Kim Najung (32) claimed that she was forcibly made to inhale drugs in the Philippines, and it has been confirmed that her social media account was suddenly closed.

As of 1 p.m. on the 26th, Kim Najung's SNS account displays the message "This page isn't available" and cannot be accessed. It appears that Kim Najung either deactivated or deleted her account.

Earlier, on the 10th, Kim Najung stirred controversy by posting on SNS before departing from Manila, Philippines, "I confess to having taken drugs in the Philippines." She said, "Late at night, airport staff, passengers, and immigration were all filming me, and like in The Truman Show, I tried to avoid the drug smuggling incident by discarding all my suitcases and bags," and incoherently added, "Because of my delusions, I feel like I might die somehow, so I can't board the plane."

Immediately after returning to Korea, she was investigated for about two hours at Incheon International Airport, and it was reported that she tested positive for methamphetamine in a rapid drug test. On the 18th, through her legal representative, she released a statement saying, "I visited the Philippines to promote beauty products and launch an underwear brand, where I met a young businessman Mr. A, and the rumors about a 'sponsor' are not true." She claimed, "While somewhat intoxicated from drinking, for unknown reasons, Mr. A tied my hands and blindfolded me," and "During that process, Mr. A made me inhale smoke, and when I tried to avoid it, he forced me to inhale the smoke using something like a 'coffin.'"

The lawyer added, "There is a video on her phone showing the situation at the time, and this video can prove that Kim Najung was in a state where she could not resist." Finally, he said, "Kim Najung confessed to drug use in order to urgently request help, not to admit that she voluntarily took drugs," and "As a victim, she intends to correct this in the subsequent procedures. Please refrain from other speculations and support her."

On the same day in the afternoon, a representative from the Drug Investigation Division of the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency stated, "The suspect has been investigated twice so far by the Incheon International Airport Police Unit and has been transferred to the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency, which has jurisdiction over her residence," adding, "After preliminary investigation, we plan to summon her for questioning one or two more times." Regarding Kim Najung's claim of forced drug inhalation, the official said, "We first learned of this through the public statement released to the media," and explained, "We will verify the facts through investigation."
